Choose A Writing Prompt

Below are five writing prompts. Select at least one prompt and write about it in a note card or on stationery to your partner. Please be detailed about your answer. If you think your answer is too short, then consider writing about two of the prompts.

Writing Prompts:

1. How did it become yours? Write a story about the first pet you remember owning.

2. Write about your first crush. Do you remember how old you were? Their name? What they looked like? What else do you remember?

3. When I was growing up, I’d stay up all night with my friends at slumber parties, telling “spooky stories”. Write to your partner about a “spooky story” you used to tell.

4. Letting a black cat cross your path, walking under a ladder, or breaking a mirror are superstitions that are supposed to bring you bad luck. Write about some other superstitions you know of that your partner might not. Do you believe in any of them?

5. The Lion, The Tin Man, or The Scarecrow…choose one to take with you on your trip to see the Wizard of Oz. Why did you choose that particular travel partner? What is it that you would hope to gain from seeing the Wizard?
