The Amelie Movie Swap

EDIT: Because of the messages I've gotten, I've decided to make this international. Before shipping, please keep all receipts, or take pictures of the package in case something happens to it.

First of all, If you have not seen this movie yet, you will not be allowed to participate until you have.

This swap will be completely open ended. You can send anything that ties in with the movie. Be creative.

The only definite rules are you MUST send your partner at least 5 different things, and you must package them in a visually pleasing way.

So for example, if you decide to send some french postcards, the postcards would equal one thing. You can't just send 5 postcards. What I mean by visually pleasing packaging, is decorating the finished product. I know some people prefer not to decorate the outer envelope, but you can always group your items together and tie them with ribbon or use tissue paper.

You can take ideas from the movie and add your own twists. For example, the box Amelie found in her apartment. You can create one for your partner. It would be nice if most of the things were handmade, but if you're not confident about your crafting abilities, it's fine to buy things.

I should make a small list of some things you might include as long as they deal with themes in the movie:

1. A book
2. A mix CD or tape
3. A painting or drawing
4. A handmade plushie
5. A little sculpture or figurine
6. Recipes
7. A journal
8. Photographs (only ones printed on photo paper)
9. Candles, magnets, bookmarks, pens, or other trinkets
10. Handmade pillows, pouches, totes, or jewelery

These are just suggestions.

Please do not send things you would not want to receive. You will have a month after signing up to work on this. If you decide to make things like postcards of scenes in the movie, make sure the quality is really good. A print out of a picture will not do.

Only people with a 4.9 or higher rating can join. I will obsessively check ratings. I understand sometimes things get lost, and people don't get back to you. This is why I will consider people with a one only if it has been 5 months or more in the past and you explain your situation. Also if you have more than one no-send rating, you will NOT be able to join.

Hearts will be given if you add more than 5 things, or go way above and beyond with the items you send. Please rate fairly. It's so unfair to work really hard on something and have your partner receive it and give you a weak "thanks."
