Welcome there fair keeper of Avalon, its time for another challenge to be placed before you, prepair yourself, steele yourself against the tasks set to come or perhaps curl up around your laptop. For this swap, is a small one. a Mini feat of craftsmanship. Create for this swap, a magical mini zine. This can be a spell book of your creation, a book of wizardry and magics, an study of the creatures fair and foul, a diary of a fair lady. the choice is yours, but do not disapoint, you will have two keepers to send to this time around. In less confusing words. I thought I would make for us a group mini zine swap, as Ive become quite taken with them lately and am a little nervous of the public swaps these days, So the difference between this and that swap, is that this one has a keepers theme. You have to make a magic book. How you interperit that, I shal leave entirely in your hands, how the book is produced is also entirely upto you. I want this to be open for everyone to feel they can contribute. Remember though. You will have TWO partners to send to for this. You must have at least 5 ratings to join this swap. Dont be a flake fish or Trinket shall hunt you down with bows and arrows and angry cats from above... Please if you do have any questions. Should the zine be handmade or copied?

hmh, yes, all I've read about zines so far was that they were printed, so I'm not sure right now... I could make handwritten ones. I'm not sure if I can join as it's for two swap partners (I'm just not sure time-wise). Any rules considering the amount of pages? Else... this is a GREAT swap idea. :)

Here is a little guide that shows you an idea of how to make a mini zine in its most basic form, it even has the word template you need to do it.

Though I am setting no rule on whether it must be handmade or printed (I shall be hand drawing the thing, scanning it on my computer and printing the booklet from there like that, it will have a few more pages than the example i just gave -I hope-).

The Rule I will state though, is that your zine must be original. Dont go copying anything written or pictures from other people.

Hmmm, I don't have a scanner and my printer is minimal, if I don't sign up it's nothing against you Trinky and I have never made a zine before, I will think about it!

No worries guys. Naughty. Dont feel bad. In the dark days before my Mr went and bought me a printer I mostly just made hand drawn copys.....urgh time investment. course I will be back to that when the ink runs out.

I should really drop this swap as its diverting me from working on my journals, but I just can't let this one go... say the word magical and I am in!

Anyway since we will make one zine and copy it, we might as well have more than two partners? I mean its not more work to have like 5 partners instead of two. And its a fairly lightweight swap too. Just a suggestion though!
