RF: Small Rolo with Masterboard Base

Have you made a masterboard yet? And have you created ATCs or tags from the masterboard? It’s one of my favorite creative pursuits! Using a base of cardstock you’re not particularly fond of, or maybe an old manila file folder, cover the surface with pieces of book page, paper scraps, used postage stamps, and so forth. After it’s covered completely, cut a piece to use as the base for, in this case, a small rolo (2.5x4). There are many YouTube videos describing the making of a masterboard…one of my favorites is by Margarete Miller. Julie of Camelia Crafts also has made masterboards, and I always laugh throughout her videos. After creating the base of your rolo, choose a focal design, and be sure to add some interest to your base with stamping, spattering, or even some metallic leafing. Cover the back with pretty paper and put your swap information there.
