I think Shirley Jackson's books can be found world wide, but if you cannot find one of her stories, you can still do this swap. :)

Shirley Jackson is one of my favorite authors. I love her books, love the adaptations of her books (for the most part) and her life was so tragic. Let's learn about, review and celebrate Shirley Jackson!!

For this swap you can write a review of one of her books (that you have read or listened to), one of the movies/series based on her books, or you can research some of her life and write an essay about her life to share with your partner. If Shirley Jackson sounds familiar, but you can't place her - she wrote 'The Haunting of Hill House', that 2 movies and 2 Netflix series were based on, she also wrote 'The Lottery', 'We Have Always Lived in a Castle' that Netflix did a movie of, and several other short stories and novels. (She is also one of Stephen King's favorite authors, and he likes to add 'easter eggs' in his books relating back to Jackson.)

As long as you keep with the Shirley Jackson theme, you can present your swap to your partner in any manner you wish. You can hand write or type a review, you can create a Zine, you can make a Pocket Letter themed to Jackson's books - whatever comes to mind. Feel free to get creative if you wish. And I thoroughly encourage you all to enjoy her spooky books / movies during this spooky season! :)
