MAE: Inchie Swap #3: Blue

You don’t get more mini than an inchie. LOL!

An inchie is exactly what it sounds like.. a one inch square For this swap, we will create 5 inchies for our partner. You would be surprised at how much art can be crammed into an inch.

We will be making BLUE inchies this round.

Hint: cut a strip of paper larger than what you need…so maybe 2-3 inches wide and 7-8 inches long. Apply some basic mixed media techniques such as some gesso, and some paint, some small collage bits, some stamping, maybe a bit of stencilling. Keep at it until you like what you see.

For added interest you could start with some patterned paper instead of plain.

Using your chosen method of cutting, cut your strip into a one inch wide length and then cut that into one inch squares.

Add some extra embellishments such as tiny cut outs, tiny sequins, found words, letters, numbers, etc.
