Description:
For this swap, you will choose between theme ideas your partner has provided, and create a 10+ song playlist based on ONE of those themes to the best of your ability. You can send your playlist via Swap-Bot message or email. Each participant will need to leave the theme suggestions in a comment on this swap!! If you don't leave a list by the signup deadline, you may be removed without notice. Please leave at least 5 themes. You'll likely get better results if at least some of them are easy themes anyone could reasonably contribute songs to. For example, "Croatian Lesbian Country Music" might not be as successful as "uplifting songs" as a theme! OPTIONAL ideas: * Links to the songs * Notes about why you like them * A playlist on Spotify or another platform I will check participants prior to assigning partners and angel if needed. Please rate within 3 days of receiving your playlist. Timely rating is important, even for electronic swaps but playlists take some time to consume and enjoy. 3 days should give you enough time to listen and rate. Consistently slow raters beyond 3 days may be removed from the group. I recommend checking in with your partner if you haven't been rated after three days as it may have gone to spam.

French popular songs of any period

Songs that seem to be intellectual or pseudo intellectual

Songs that are amusing

1960's British "invasion"

Any song with singers with strange/striking voices (i.e., Tom Waits, Amy Winehouse)

Songs that have remarkable vocabularies or images (for example, I like Bjork's: "What about China? Have you seen the Great Wall? All walls are great, if the roof doesn't fall!"

I like musical surprises

I love this idea!
My themes:

Songs about being a rockstar/famous/ on the road.

Cover songs that sound drastically different than the original. Extra points for Spanish language covers.

Songs about food, can be silly because these are harder to find.

Songs that make you happy no matter what.

Songs that can no longer be separated from the movie scene they were in.

Anthems with a non lyrical chorus everyone can sing along to at the concert. Do do do, woah woah. Etc.

Songs written before 1900.

Songs about holidays other than Christmas.
