     AN ANNOUNCEMENT
     from
*** YOUR MASTER OF CEREMONIES.***

On behalf of our young ladies Miss Priscilla and Miss Anna of Butchers Row,

I have the honour of announcing to all living in Amberleigh;

We are to have a picnic as devised by them, this Sunday,
leaving after church to Cranberry Hill top.
Three large hampers are being conveyed to the site via horse & cart, all provided for your repast via Ladies Caroline & Elizabeth and myself. Thus there is no need to bring any food stuffs or cushions and blankets, as there will be more than enough outfitted for the occasion for all to partake and be comfortable.

We look forward to meeting and greeting you all.

Mr. Launcelot W Penn, esq.

This is an excuse to be writing as your character, we would wish for all our members to join in this swap and exercise your characters voice.

For this swap we will be writing a letter to one within our village, who attended the Pic Nic this Sunday coming. The subject of the letter is up to you to decide, but please make it descriptive and pertaining to our Sunday picnic, and write as if your character is speaking to the character to whom you are writing, this will help you stay "in character" and practice what you sound like, if you've not done so before. Do check our Forum page, and the thread Amberleigh Residents Chat Area, as you will get a better insight into to whom your
character is writing to.

It is meant to be fun, not intimidating, but as a clue if you are at a loss, perhaps write about one or more of these subjects:

  • To whom you spoke to and the topic you spoke about,.

  • A description of the foods in the laid out hampers, and what you ate,.

  • What funny or alarming occurrences happened in your eyesight or hearing.
  • The surroundings and the views present.

We will be having ONE partner for this swap and it is TO THIS PARTNER'S CHARACTER you will be writing the letter to.
Please place your letter within a lovely Note Card of our era, so it can be tucked within their journal with pride and fond memories of the occasion. Decorate your envelope as you desire and send out.

As with all our swaps, if you have any queries, do not hesitate to message Anna, Nickalli or Jane.
