Description:

They say there's nothing more beautiful than a June bride. Even if you weren't a June bride (March for me!), I hope you'll join us in a scavenger hunt inspired by the June brides and an old adage. They say on your wedding day you should wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. So we will be creative in sending these things to our partners to wish them good luck for a beautiful June.

You will:

  • Have one partner.

  • Send her four items: something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. The items need not be wedding related.

  • Spend approximately $8.

  • Be considerate in choosing "something old". Vintage is wonderful. Old trash, not so much!

  • Be creative in finding "something borrowed". Some ideas to get you started thinking: "borrowed" music burned on a CD, something made from a pattern in a borrowed book, something created from a borrowed idea, etc.

  • Send a short letter explaining the items that you are sending to your partner.

  • Try to make this an extra special surprise for your partner. Go all out to make your partner's day!

Oh, they say when you marry in June you're a bride all your life, and the bride groom who marries in June gets a sweet-heart for a wife! ~Johnny Mercer, lyrics from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Thanks for joining. I just celebrated 12 years on March 8. He was still taking university classes and I was teaching. We couldn't wait until summer break in June, so we went for the first day of spring break! ;-)

Please come join us for a fun summer challenge!
