Description:

If you're like me you like to learn about other religions; their traditions, beliefs, and about their higher power. I have always found other religions fascinating and fun to learn about. So I thought, what better way to learn about other religions than with an ATC.

For this swap you will have 2 partners and you will make 1 ATC for each partner. Your ATC will be about YOUR religion. Your ATC can have scripture, images, anything you feel represents your religion. I want to keep this fun and inspiring so if you are any sort of Satan worshipper please do not join. All other religions are welcome to join. I would love to see an array of religions. Buddism, Hinduism, Christian, Catholic, Methodist, Wiccan, Baptist, etc, ect, ect............

This is open to newbies with a filled out profile to my liking. All others must have a 4.5+ rating with no 1's and no 3's within the last 3 months that cannot be explained. I have the right to ban anyone so if I feel you might not be trustworthy then I will ban you.

I know their are many people out there who have a strong dislike of religion altogether who feel they need to express their opinion no matter who it hurts. If you are one of these people please do us a favor and keep your comments to yourself and do not join my swap. We are here to have fun and don't need any drama.

I am willing to angel this swap, but I really hope I don't have to.

Due to many requests I have decided to make this swap International. This is my first International swap so lets make it a good one :)

Great swap, I am hosting a similar one right now:) I would love to participate in this one though, but I am in Europe so I can't:(

Kalimorgana 04/19/2009 #

Me too :(.

Helena8664 04/19/2009 #

I LOVE this idea...it's wonderful! It's on my watchlist until it gets closer...but I WILL join! :) I'm a Buddhist and LOVE to share my philosophy with others!

RachelB 04/20/2009 #

Me three and its such a pity as its not expensive to post ATCs and you would have had a Jewish one from Israel ...

Mrsfabicons 04/20/2009 #

Me four! I agree with RachelB, it's not that much extra for postage and the diversity would have been greatly enriching.

Kalimorgana 04/20/2009 #

Yay, I may join now!

Mrsfabicons 04/21/2009 #

Thanks for including us!

MP 04/21/2009 #

is the sign-up date really not til june?

shfacey 04/21/2009 #

You are very welcome Kalimorgana and Mrsfabicons. Yes MP the sign-up date isn't until June. I have too many swaps going on before then and didn't want the sign up date and send date too far apart.

Kalimorgana 04/22/2009 #

I don't mind the deadline is a bit late :). Doesn't stop me from already making the ATC's, hehe.

shfacey 04/23/2009 #

jtmg2099 05/10/2009 #

okay so I'm new and stupid please educate me to what the heck an ATC is? I love this idea and would love to join this swap as I can already think of many things to do if I only understood better -I was just discussing different kinds of Religion to my Cub Scouts so I'm all ready to go with this - thanks for being patient with this "newbie" and I hope my profile is filled out correctly

hi jtmg! An ATC is an "Artist Trading Card". The only two true rules are the size (must be 2.3x3.5") and that they can only be given away or traded, not sold. An additional rule (although it should be common courtesy, it's supposed to be "art" ) is that effort goes into it instead of just putting a sticker on some paper and calling it done. They can be done on old playing cards or anything else, there are a thousand variations and materials. Most swaps also require them to be flat enough to fit into a baseball card sleeve. Besides that, themes, materials etc. may vary depending on each swap. Check illustratedATCs.com for some inspiration. A websearch will bring you loads of results.

I may have just the material here for this swap...found something a while ago that's just waiting for something like this, now I just have to see if I can find where I "kept it safe" LOl. On my watchlist for now!

I wanted to do this swap, but am unfortunately overcommitted & had to drop it. Very sorry, hopefully there'll be a next time :)

clebeans 06/ 1/2009 #

This sounds like fun. I've always wanted to join a swap like this but too scared to host one.
