Lotto Scratch-Offs--USA ONLY

has anyone had trouble cashing in out of state tickets, I did

uh oh what happened?..i need to send mine out to the other state that i won in still....

I'm not sure that is is all over in Wash. state, but I was told that only Wash. state scratch tickets can be redeemed in Wash. I had one from Oklahoma and the clerk couldn't give me the money for it. Not sure if all states are the same. Come to think of it, it must not be that way all over, as one of my partners in another state won $10.

I haven't come across any issues yet....I've sent mine in and got a check in the mail....But, maybe your partner would cash it and write you a check ?? That is, if the state sends the ticket back to you!! Maybe we should have a list of states that won't send a check if we send them a winning ticket...Hmmm...

i mailed mine with driver's license and ss card copies and recieved check from west virginia... perhaps rujerro's idea would work if you aren't sure whether the state does this

I believe you have to send in the winning tickets to the appropriate state . . . if it's a ticket from WA, you have to send it in to WA. . .if it's a ticket from CA, you have to send it in to CA, but most states won't cash in another state's tickets. I've won several from other states and had no problem when I sent them in to the address on the reverse of the ticket -- one was for $1.00 andNY sent me a check for $1.00.

I've gotten many winners from all over US and had no problems, Washington included.
