My daugher would love this she took a old bag and spiced it up with badges(pins) cut up a t shirt the word bethany and sewed it on. Great thing about learning to sew. I will add to my watch list and see what I can find at the good will tomorrow. di

I bought a purse today and I truly was embarassed at the check out. OMG! I did picvk up some lilttle trinkets to put inside.

Woo-Hoo....I had a bag that I picked up for my sister (I give her one truly awful gift every christmas) I think the bag I have will be just right for this swap....now to find all manner of crap to stuff into it!!

You know I was seriously thinking I wasn't going to be able to find a fitting bag this time.. even tho I'd seen plenty before at our local thrift shop... and then I saw it... omg its hideous. I was checking out and the little old ladies that work there were like oh, you like green huh? I just kind of gritted my teeth and smiled.. they already think I'm crazy as it is.. might as well let them think I love green and that I have awful taste too.

Okay, this is getting to be a challenge. I have been to 2 thrift stores here in Minneapolis, and haven't found one bag/tote or purse that rate in the ugliness dept. This is ridiculous! It's time to branch out. I even thought that I could check my private hideous bag stash, but I can't get into the attic yet. That'll be a last resort...signed - still shopping B.

Well I finally found one after going to 4 thrift stores. I walked around with 2 choices to see if I could grab a few eyes. Yeah some, they looked at me funny, but that may have been because I was sportin ye'ole head scarf (bad hair day)...My drive home was filled with thoughts such as .."yes, I would definitely NOT buy this for me".

Well, today I found it. I took a friend with me and she helped me pick the most hideous bag. There were actually two contenders, but the other one was just pathetic... this one was flat-out UUUUUUgly. I look forward to shipping it off to my lucky, lucky partner! :-D
