Pink Owl Atc

can someone please explain what an ATC is? i'm going crazy, i read it is a photo ... but i simply dont get it. Do we stencil it? Is it stamping?

An atc is artwork the size of standard size playing card used for games such as poker or go fish. Playing cards make a good firm backing as well. Take your favorite paper and cut it to playing card size glue it to the card and you have a good base to start decorating!

can we draw the owl?

I hardly wait for my first rating, although there must have been more than 5 now. Is it possible that you allow me to join without a rating? I have to join the swap, I love owls and I love pink!

ATCs must be 2.5" by 3.5" (landscape or portrait format). Not all playing cards are that size. Ours in the UK are usually smaller.

dolcevita - do a google image search for "artist trading cards" and you'll come up with some good examples. Do the same on Flickr and you'll get even more! Think paper, glue, glitter, text from old books, ephemera, vintage images, your own hand-drawn images, etc. Anything goes - even 3-dimensional components like baked polymer clay, flat-backed beads, sequins, etc. If you're lazy like me, you can find pre-cut ATC cards at your local arts and crafts store (even Michael's carries them).

dolcevita--ATCs are "Artist Trading Cards" and are intended to be little pieces of whatever your favorite/best art form is, traded with other artists for examples of their favorite/best art forms. You can do drawings, paintings, mixed media pieces, stained glass, fabric, embroidery, knitting, polymer clay, wood, metal, photographs, mini-books or 'zines, little boxes--whatever you are really good at, or want to try and trade.

I too hope nothing has happened to the host. It is sad though, three people have already dropped out. :(
