per request, I'm hosting this swap again. As per the title, this swap is for a small handmade item. To be more specific - you will make something that your partner (you will have 2) can choose to turn into a magnet, pin, ornament, or other decorative item. Many different materials could be used (cloth, clay, yarn, and paper if it has been coated so as to be waterproof and sturdy). Let's keep the size between 1" and 2 1/2". This is an international swap for swappers with 4.5 or higher ratings and newbies who have completed their profiles thoroughly.

so are we making a magnet, pin, etc... or are we just making like a flower or a person or a word or something like that that someone can stick a pin or a magnet onto the back?

the latter - you make whatever it is that you make and your partner decides if they would rather have it as a magnet, a pin, or whatever else they decide to do with it.
