Ah too bad there are age limits. I have lots of pen pals who are in different generations (and countries, cultures etc) and find it great enjoyment. Celebrate diversity! We can learn from everyone and who knows what lives we ourselves will enrich?

doesnt the age limit put limits on who can join....i too have pen pals older and younger than I am...and I enjoy them all...

I think the age limit is a brillient idea. i love joining in these penpal swaps, but do find myself running out of what to say when i get partnered with someone who is in their 50's or 60's and im in my 20's. :o) great swap idea will look forward to it

I'm a little sad to see an age limit. I'm over it by 2 years but still find I have more in common with 20 somethings than with 60 somethings. : ( maybe the next one.

I like the age limit because I tend to have more in common with people around my age at the moment. If someone is in a diff age group I'm sure it'd be alright with the host if you created your own penpal swap with a diff age range :)

The reason I've put the age limit on this swap is because I'm really looking for some new penpals that i have something in common with. I am a SAHM with a toddler and a newborn and in the last penpal swap that I did I was paired up with all ladies in their 60's and found it really difficult to enjoy reading their letters about the weather and they didn't seem to really like hearing about my children or day to day life and didn't respond to things I had written about in my letters. Just seemed like we were writing for the sake of it and really had nothing in common to share. I'm sorry if this offends some people, but sometimes we just want to make friends with people who can relate to what's happening in our lives at the moment & share common interests.
