May I send you a Camera??

It might be more direct and less complicated for each person to take a disposable camera, fill it with pictures and send it to their partner--same result, less confusion, and less postage?

I was thinking the same thing as @twobluecows It would save on postage especially since th swap is international!! Great idea though.

What is considered a newbie? I have one rated mailed swap and a few moew i've mailed and am waiting on ratings for.

What about just taking the photos and sending. then you don't have the extra postage or the cost of having to have the developed professionally. I print all my own photos at home.

Kimpe- I do alot of dark room and usually print my own pictures at home to... but I really want swappers to receive a camera in the mail because its different. Hopefully you will join but if not I understand. Thanks for the suggestion. <3

Wow, I think this is a great idea for a swap. I wish I could join. I live in a really small bordertown and could give great pictures but even the Walmart here doesn't process anything unless it's digital. Just leaving a comment because I think it's a great idea. Maybe another idea would be a CD or DVD of pictures or an album of photos emailed to another person....

The idea seems great indeed but postage will be fairly expensive, considering you'll be sending the camera back and forth, and THEN you'll have to develop the film ? :/ It would have been a great swap but... yeah. Good luck everyone :D

We will not be sending through email or on disc. I have ruled that out. I want to have all revision on this swap made by the 15th. So make your suggestions.

this looks like alot of fun! I am assuming, (but am commenting just to make sure) that pictures are required to be PG right?! LOL I just dont want the cops to show up at my door bc the camera I dropped off at Wal-mart to get developed has "inappropreciate pictures" on it!! And I know that different countries have different laws about things!

I would suggest everyone use their best judgment when taking photos. That's all I can say crowsfox.

do you care how many pictures are on the disposable camera. I know they have gotten this standardized pretty much but I have come across some that only have room for 15 pics and some that take up to 24 or so.

I think this is a great idea. I used to use these cameras all the time when traveling and every now and then I run across one that did not get developed. What a suprise to find out what is on it.

I would probably use the 24 exposure.

Do they in the USA or Other places X-Ray Packages? If so that would ruin the film?

I checked with the post in my town and they said in the USA they do not x ray packages, and they also told me that most international packages are not x rayed! If any any of the international swappers would like to double check that would be awesome!!!!! Feedback?!?!

I love this swap. I think its going to be my favorite swap so far. The only camera I found had 27 exposure. And I thought I would send a note saying what the pictures and Why I liked/loved the image.

Mina79 that's an awesome idea. I think it would be nice to send like a pen pal note or something.

i think this is a great idea for a swap! my little sister did something just like this with her friends who live far away and i thought it was a really fun idea. :] i think i'll use a black and white disposable. :] - L
