Those big plastic lids cut down to 4x6, or close, can be stamped and mailed so let's do it! or leave it round. Extra postage.. though. Take a lid, embellish if you wish. Make sure to trim the lid lip off. Think flat.Of course if you want to leave it as a circle, well that's fine,too. Extra postage though. This would work especially if you can't find a big enough lid to cut down. 1 partner=1 lid

This is crazy!!!! But, sounds good. I just mailed a whimsey jar off in a can and the mail lady said, "Wow, I really like the packaging!"

Just a note. You don't really have to cut them down to 4X6. Only if you are trying to stay within the postcard postage rate. You can totally send that round lid out AS a postcard. It will just cost extra postage. If I do this swap, I hope it will be okay to be as artistic as I wish with the lid.

Swan hit a yard sale or thrift store. You'd be surprised at what you might find.

Also if I do this swap will anyone have a problem with me sending the lid intact? I have visions of mail carriers delivering a nice large intact plastic lid postcard to my swap partner. Just need to know I won't get docked for doing so if I join the swap.

@knitmom how cool that you mailed a leg! Perhaps a nekkid/naked mail swap is next on the horizon. If you host please holla at me. I sometimes miss these cool swaps by nano seconds. Also the midnight deadline to sign up used to be PST now it's EST meaning if I don't sign up by 9PM Calif time it's gone!

Signing up for your swap now! should be fun. I wish we had more partners :-)
