I love writing the names of the women who came before me. My mother, grandmother, great & great, great grandmothers & beyond. I add my name and my daughter's name to the list to round out the presence to the present. It makes me feel close, connected. Reminded, I remember. ☥

Please join me by picking one of your ancestors and tell us something that is in you that you know (or figure was) a part of her too. For example, my mom has red hair and that is why I am a redhead!

Common family traits can be physical attributes like eyes or hair, occupation, living vicinity, food likes/dislikes, traditions; anything that you feel is unique to you and your wymyn kin.

It is the time of year to acknowledge those who have come before us.

Part I Write out a family common trait on a card, stationary or letter.

Part II Make a personalized card, ATC, postcard, rolo or other paper art piece using your swap partner's name.
