This is just a way for those of us on Revelry AND on Swap-Bot to begin to connect. I just started a new group for us, called "Ravelry Stitchers here on SB". This swap is simply electronic, to get the word out that Ravelers have a place to gather here on SB!! For this swap, you need only do 3 simple things-- (1) Sign up for the new Ravelry Stitchers here on SB group! THAT MEANS THAT YOU MUST GO HERE AND SIGN UP AS A MEMBER OF THE GROUP!!!! (2) After being approved as a member of the group, send me your Ravelry user name so I can contact you to set up our group over there. (3) After you have been matched up with a partner, simply send that partner a little email, introducing yourself with a few little knitting-related tidbits about yourself--some examples are: how long you've been knitting, fave yarn or needles or pattern or designer, things you've recently made, what is currently on your needles, helpful online resources or fave yarn/pattern sellers.... You don;t need to cover all of these things; these are just ideas of what you might share with your "e" partner. Qestions? Just contact me. Sorry for the initial confusion. I'm new at "e" swaps, and I've never set up a group here on SB, nor on Ravelry......thank you for your patience!! Oh, and after we get our group here and on Ravelry going, we can start talking about what we might like to do for a group swap. Of course, that will probably wait until AFTER the upcoing holidays as most of us are busy knitting those last few gifts.....

REMEMBER, PLEASE, FOR THIS SWAP YOU MUST GO TO GROUPS THEN FIND "RAVELRY STITCHERS ON SB" AND AND THEN CLICK JOIN THIS GROUP!!!!

Once we have 3 group members, I can make a group for us over on Ravelry.

But the swap is simply to go and join our Group HERE ON SWAP BOT FIRST.

We don't actually sign up for this swap - isn't that correct. You want us to go and sign up for the group.

Sorry for the confusion!! I kept checking the group page, and no one was showing up as a member, nor did I receive any message from Swap-Bot about members pending my approval. So imagine my surprise today when i went over there and after several clicks found a whole baker's dozen of us to approve!! Wooo hooo!!! We're on our way. Okay, I sent out a group message that you now need to message me with your Ravelry user name so that I can contact you on Ravelry and get our Ravelry group going over there, and THEN we're off to have lots of fun!!!!

Concerning partner ratings......I am going to edit the swap that you just need to send an email to your partner sharing your Ravelry user name and maybe a little about what you enjoy knitting, fave yarn or pattern or needles or whatever little tidbits you'd like to share. Once you've received the email, then you can rate. Does that sound okay?? Sorry, I got so excited about getting a group of us together here and on RAvelry that I totally forgot about the rating part of the "swap", and even for an e swap, I thought we needed to do something with our partners. Does this sound okay?? I'll send out a group email, and edit the swap.

That's a great idea, but I think we'll plan on doing that for our first official group swap. This swap was set up to be an "e" swap only, and to change than now after so many have signed up wouldn't be fair for those busy as we head into Thanksgiving here in the States, and other winter holidays very soon thereafter..... so, keep your knitted thinking cap on as to what would make a fantastic first swap for our new group!!!!

Everyone should be approved by now. Also, I did discover a pre-existing Ravelry group for Swap-Botters.....I sent out a group message about it. I hope everyone has sent their emails out!!!
