The details:

  • final size to be 8.5 inches

  • 100% cotton only

  • string pattern using white or off-white muslin for base fabric

  • strip direction - parallel to the side of the block

  • strip size between 1.25ish & 2.5ish inches

  • color palette - receiver’s choice

  • please do not repeat a fabric within the block unless you can use a distinctly different part of the fabric pattern

  • partners = 4 (more/less depending on group decision)

  • blocks/partner = 1 (more depending on group decision)

Please leave your color palette & any other requests (either general or specific) for your blocks in the comments below.

Like all of our swaps, nothing is etched in stone & can be changed by group decision. Also, if these dates don't work we can change them...

p.s. I don't have a picture of my own to post so if any of you want to send me a link to one you've done I will use it.

colors: bright colors, black/charcoal, white
fabric specifics: patterned fabrics are great (actually preferred) as long as they are primarily in this palette; tone-on-tone & solids are good too if not predominant in the block
yes, please: scrappy & random
please! no: neon, children, holiday, patriotic, cartoon, sports or blocks with mostly primary colors; also fine separately but absolutely no orange/blue together as I despise that combination!

colours: either blues/greens (not olive/sludge greens)/purples or browns/beige/reds (terracotta-ish rather than bright or purple-ish) with only small amounts of other colours; white is fine too, though I'd prefer it to be an ivory/creamy white if with the browns.
fabric specifics: I tend to prefer small patterns or tone-on-tone, but larger patterns or solids are fine as long they don't dominate the block
please! no: no neon/day-glo brights

I'm going to go for all black and white except for one bright coloured strip (not a solid colour, but preferably a small pattern with several different bright colours) in the centre of the block.

If you could make it so that there are no solid black or white strips, but alternating predominantly black with predominantly white strips, that would be great.

If I'm being too picky or difficult to understand please let me know and I'll change my preferences. Thanks :-)

Okay, because Jenny will have my head on a platter if I do not join this one, here we go. colours: nothing sludgy, unless it's a small accent. If you feel like getting your pink fix, now's a good time. fabric specifications: I love interesting prints and batiks *please! no:" neon/day-glo, sludge colours, typical calicos (they're boring), "baby" prints

Oh, another note, i really like the 20s/30s reproduction prints.

Colours (we spell it that way so don't get on my back about it:) I would like these please.

Fabric specifics. Nothing 80's inspired please YUCK.

No. Christmasy stuff or ugly stuff... I'm pretty open, just something that reminds me of my summer holidays would be nice :)

OH the link didn't work but the same as the other swap #1 white, sand, grey, ocean green, sky blue, etc Lots of white is good. Think of natural colours you find at the beach.
