Going Fruity - Pineapple

grrrrrrrr every thing i see that calls for any thing of value has to have a certain amount of swaps. give us newbies a break give us a chance to prove we will or want swap. then if we flake then remove us how can we prove ourselves if u want give us a chance

i understand your frustration, as i am a relative newbie too. But their are lots of swaps just for new members to get their rating up also if you go to the forums there is a section where members will do private swaps to help as well.

Is there a buying limit or at least a minimum? Also, I was on an NCL cruise last weekend to attend a wedding in the Bahamas. Framed artwork was all over the ship, which used to cruise in the Hawaiian Islands. I saw your pineapple lady on one of the decks. After photographing her, I thought she looked familiar. Any idea as to the name of the artist? I checked Google images but found no clue.

Although I am intrigued with this pineapple swap idea, I have not had much success shopping for pineapple stuff except for food items. Are pineapple foods acceptable for this swap? Today at Trader Joe's I bought a bag of dried baby sweet pineapple (from Thailand),chile spiced pineapple (also dried but with a spicy kick) and a jar of pineapple salsa. Yesterday, I bought some tasty Barritas pina cakes (from Mexico). Does anyone have a problem with these? They're all nicely wrapped by the manufacturer. I am still on the prowl for pineapple foodstuffs. Where have other folks purchased (nonedible) pineapple goodies? Jennifer in Chicago

It would depend on the country you were sending to here in australia we have quite strick quarintine laws. I was thinking more pineapple images, I have some pineapple beads to end my partner, pineapple lipgloss, some other little items with an image of pineapple.

next i might try something a little more common to find like cherry??

Okay, I joined up and will continue for non-edible pineapple items. However, I did buy a couple of the 4-cake packs of Barritas pina cakes because they tasted good to me. Processed items would be okay for Australia, correct? Do you have a favorite site about what's not allowed to be mailed to Australia? Do not want my parcel to be quarantined, that's for sure! Yes, I have not been finding much re: pineapple, so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Cherry should be fun, but I need to get finished with pineapple first. Thanks for your responses to my questions.
