New Moon - Dreamcatcher Swap

So this will be a bit of a different swap… Surely you remember that Bella’s given a dreamcatcher by Jacob? Now it’ll be YOUR turn to make a dreamcatcher. Handmake it. And trust me, it’s not as complicated as it sounds… :D Because by now I’ve tried my hands on this for the first time, here’s the link to a photo of it:

You find infos and instructions online how to weave the web of the dreamcatcher or I can email you the pictures I had found to make mine – they’re very easy to follow.

Now to the rules: Basically you can make a dreamcatcher in any way you like. It doesn’t need to look like Bella’s (but it can!). You can use a ring and cover it with leather string just like I did and like many dreamcatchers are made, or you could weave the ring like you would do in basket making? I’d say it should be somewhat natural and not exactly made of pink plastic strings. :D I made the above dreamcatcher using a black plastic ring and covering it with leather string. Just another idea. For the web I used a beading string as it’s sturdier, and I added some tiny gem stones to the web (stones that relate to sleep and protection :)). You could hang anything from the dream catcher, also more than one thing – feathers, little pendants, gemstones… maybe turquoise… You can look at your partner’s profile and relate something of the dreamcatcher to it – but it’s not a must.

All in all you should create a lovely dreamcatcher for your swap partner that you’d love to hang up yourself.

More rules: No recent no-sends, no 1 ratings or other drama going on. If there’s been some unfair rating, etc. pm me and we can talk about it. You have to have at least 15 swaps under your belt, sent out swaps that is, emailed ones don’t count to the 15.
