Description:

My 10 year old likes to get mail just like everyone else! If you have a child ages 7 - 12 that likes to swap lets get together!

This swap is for 1 handmade bookmark, you have 1 partner to send it to. It should be made by the kids, but parents need to keep on top of the due dates and make sure that whatever your child makes will withstand mailing.

Once you sign up put the first name of your child in the discussion section if you want the envelope addressed to them (it makes mail a bit more special :)

Don't forget that you should still put the name of the swap and your profile name.

As this is a Children's swap with many different ages involved, please do not rate based on workmanship. Most children don't have great crafty skills. If you feel you may be disappointed in receiving a handmade bookmark that may not be up to par with your own crafty skills please do not join this swap. piece of nice cardstock with some stickers, or a handrawn picture will satisfy swap requirements for this swap - It's the effort of our children which should be rewarded not how expensive or well made the item is :-)

My daughter Autumn will angel if needed, all are welcome, please only sign up if your children are interested.

This will be a monthly swap, only the theme will change. Thanks and have fun!

Daughter's name: Jenelle (8) -- Can we make a knitted or fabric bookmark? Or does it have to be paper?

kiwivandal 01/12/2010 #

It can certainly be knitted or fabric, any medium you choose as long as the kids make it.

nelliebugsdotcom 01/12/2010 #

Thanks! Jenelle is just learning to knit.

Hi! James is ready to "make it" ;-) Has there been a theme announced for this month's swap yet?

nelliebugsdotcom 01/18/2010 #

@ncfriend I was just going to ask the same thing. :) Will partners be assigned soon? I'd like to check out the partner's profile before having Jenelle make the bookmark.

I think I was a little confusing, the theme is making a bookmark, I will be hosting a children's swap every month, the item to be swapped is the theme (so this month it's a bookmark). Next month it will be a different item kids can make, sorry for the confusion. Partners are assigned so you can get your kids to make any kind of bookmark they choose. Next months swap will be called Kids like Swapping #2 and Autumn has not yet chosen the item to be swapped, but I will post it in the next couple of days.

I PM'd everyone else who had questions I think, thanks everyone for participating, please PM me if anything else comes up!
