Description:

This swap is for all of our unloved, unwanted beads. You know, those ones you bought that you thought were cool at the time or that you got for a really great price and they have now been taking up space for a year or two because you just can't figure out where to use them. Surely I'm not the only person with this issue! We will send 10 of our unloved beads to someone else to see if they spark their creativity! I'm not going to make it part of the requirements for this swap but I would love to see what the other person does with my beads, so I will be sending my partner a picture of what I make with their beads and would love it if we all did the same. I can't figure out how to make that a part of the swap easily. For the icky stuff - No no sends, I will angel if needed and if you would be willing to angel PM me, no newbies this time around. Again, if you flake you will be banned from all my swaps and incur really nasty Karma. No plastic or wood beads, no seed beads (unless it's like a whole tube of them), just "good" beads we can't figure out how to use. Keeping it international because postage shouldn't be too much for 10 beads!

You could PM everyone in your swap your email address then get them to send you a picture of the beads they send and a picture of the thing(s) they make with the beads they receive and post these pictures onto a flickr account which you could set up specially for your swaps of this nature. Then you could put the link to the flickr account into the swap details.

Good idea, melusine! I am soo not good at the techie stuff. Thanks!

I really can't guarantee you that I will be using the beads I get right away. They might lie around for months or I may only want to use a few of them. Is there a time limit for sending the pictures? Because if there is I may have to drop the swap again.

I didn't include the picture sending as mandatory for this one, just thought it would be a cool idea. If you don't get around to using them right away that's certainly no problem!

Does it have to be 10 of the same beads, or can we include different types? I don't mind which I receive :)

I think we just send 10 beads. I can't see where it states we must send 10 of the same. I would have thought a mix would be best.

nmterrier 01/24/2010 #

Yes, mix would be great.

Hopefully I don't fall into the newbie status, I tried to sign up. I have not done too many swaps(4), but in all fairness one of my swaps was a send to 10 partners type. If I do get in I have no preference on all the same or different, also if there is a wood bead in there it would be fine with me, as I use them too. :)
