Women's History Month

History is not just famous people. History is the life your mom and grandmother and great-grandmothers and aunts lived. Who would know anything about Whistler's mother if he hadn't painted her? You will tell two partners something about your mother or another woman in your family and maybe share a photo.

To celebrate Women's History Month think about or ask about your mother's life or that of another woman in your family. Write the important facts -- dates of birth, where they lived. their education, their children, their work, their talents, their involvement in their community and family, etc. Anything interesting about one or more of your female relatives. If you have a photo you can copy and send along that would be great, but not necessary. You should write a page -- more if you feel like it.

Celebrate a woman, or more than one, in your family and share the information with others.
