Description:

For this swap, you will be emailing one jpeg file of a Spring flower you yourself have photographed to 2 partners.

The jpeg file needs to be reduced in size so as to not be too large for recipient to receive as an attachment thru email.

Please use name of swap 'Spring Flower Email Photo Swap' in email swap Subject so recipient will know it is not spam. Please do not leave the email Subject blank (I do not read emails that have a blank subject).

Please write a short message telling what the flower is, where you photographed it & why you chose the photo.

Please add a watermark or logo or initials to the photo so it can not be used by someone for other purposes. Please do not place the watermark or logo or initials across the center of photo to distract from the photo since your partner may want to print the photo. Here's a site that allows you to add a watermark for free: http://picmarkr.com

All swappers can join. Newbies are welcome. I'll angel if someone does not send.

OK, join up. Flower in the swap pictured is called a Madarin Wind Hibiscus. I photographed it last yr 2009. I bought the Hibiscus from a nursery in 2008. Now have 3 Hibiscus and I bring them inside in Nov & keep inside until weather warms up. We had snowfall Sat night 3/20 and woke this morn to 6" - 8" snow here in Central TX. I had put the potted plants outside last wk & luckily I brought them back in when there was possible snow flurries in the forecast.

Sunshine, I would love to join this swap. I don't really know how to put a watermark, or logo on my photos...

There are some amazing spring flowers here in S.E Texas.
Is it possible to have a link to learn how to mark your pictures. I think that is just a wonderful idea. Thank you. Namaste Seren

I use a couple of software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Photo Impact Pro) to add something to my photos such as logo which is the "Sunshine" & 'HoneyBee" that I embossed & scanned that you see in the bottom right corner below the flower. Not sure if there is a link out there to do similar but I'll look into it & let you know. You can make something with your initials using cardstock or some sort of paper, print the 4x6 photo, then place the cardstock with your initials in a corner or somewhere on the photo, scan that in, save it as a jpeg filename diffferently than the original photo and use this as your attachment. Please let me know if this helps.
