Number 6 of this swap!! Wooo! I've decided to put my two favorite things in a swap! For this swap you will buy something for your partner from their amazon wishlist or etsy favorites. The gift will be at Least $10 before shipping. You can buy one item or several as long as it ads up to at least $10. Please be sure to have a Working link on your profile page to one or both of these sites!!! PM me if you don't know how and I'll walk you through it. When buying it please have it sent directly to your partner. If bought on Etsy, ask the seller to include a note with the swap name and your username and send it directly to your partner. On Amazon just put it in the gift notes. That way there's no confusion! Also since I know sometimes there are issues with them sending it to the wrong person (on etsy), you might want to add your partners shipping info into your paypal account too so it for sure goes to the right place. This doesn't affect your payment and you can delete it right after no worries. Once you have ordered your partners gift(s), get out a postcard and send it to your partner. Please post below how you want your card (homemade, storebought, naked, in an envelope). Write a little note to say hello :-) Please respect your partners wishes. I have Etsy questions! Please answer as best you can because I'm a li'l nervous about one of your suggestions, yet very keen to do this swap....

1) When you say to add that person's address to PayPal, do you mean as a second address after your own?

2) Won't that confuse other purchases you're also currently making via PayPal? Will other sellers be able to see that address?

3) If you erase this temporary address (that is, your partner's) after you've made your PayPal payment but before the seller has accepted it, will they still see the added address?

Thanks in advance for answering these for me. It's the only thing stopping me from jumping in. I love the idea!

I'll give you the rundown of how I do it and hope this helps. When I buy on etsy, I put my partners address and make sure to leave a message to use that address as well as to include a note. Then I hit the pay with paypal and go to that site. Once on the page that shows what you're buying and the price and everything it shows your shipping address. You can change the address there. It won't change your regular address (it always goes back to your default) but your partners address is the only one they'll see, which will eliminate any problems in where to ship.
So 1) you just change the address in the payment page, it won't alter your regular address
2) This only won't work if you're buying two things from one seller for yourself and another person. This change in address is only for this transaction, won't affect past or present transactions.
3) there's no need to erase the address at all, it will stay in your history but for other purchases it uses your default address. Also once payment has been sent, you can delete it. There's no seller "accepting" or not. It goes into their account as you sent it. You can't alter what you already sent so if you delete the address, it'll only delete it from your history not change anything the seller see's.

I don't really care about PC's but I do like them naked! Any type is fine by me;) The spookier, the better, however;)
