Description:

Edited: CLARIFICATION - I think I meant to say no 1's or 3's in the last 3 months AND none at all that are unexplained. Hope this is easier to understand and less interpretation is needed.

Edited: If you do not meet the swap requirements, please PM me and I will decide on a case by case basis.

I was combing through some swaps, and I noticed several people interested in making a new pen pal, and others who are just looking to swap letters without all of the added "extras".

For this swap you will send 2 partners a 2 page (minimum) letter to introduce yourself. Try to mention things about your life that are not on your profile. It can be anything inspirational, anything you want to gripe about, favorite passages in a book you were reading, a secret, etc. You can doodle or illustrate as you wish, but the content of the letter is what is important. Open up about yourself as much as you feel comfortable doing. However, remember that your partners' profiles might be a great place to look for ideas.

Please HANDWRITE your letters to your partners. Your letters should be neat, legible, and thoughtful. Also, using a(n) actual stamp(s) would be GREAT for all of those that collect.

Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile BUT please have no less than 3 MAILED & RATED swaps. No unexplained 1's or 3's in the last 3 months. I reserve the right to ban anyone I feel might flake or who I think has a sketchy profile.

Any questions or concerns please PM me or leave a comment.

@lettergirl will be joining us for this swap. She participated in the Broke Folks Postage Control Swap #6 that I hosted last month, and her ratings she has received so far have been 5's with hearts. If problems arise, I will be willing to angel for her.

Hi, I would love to join this swap. I have only just joined Swap-Bot, so a totally newbie. But I think this would be a lovely swap to start with :)

Have no fear, people! Short of something tragic and newsworthy happening, I will produce a letter that will knock your socks off! Well, it will be interesting. Or..well, a letter. The description alone of my extensive dryer lint collection will provide you hours of reading enjoyment. I could go on for DAYS...

The comments are already hinting at some great letter writers. I may just have to join this swap!

@lettergirl you're a RIOT! Haha - just that comment helped to make my day!

@Filpot - I hope you do join us! We could use another great letter writer. :)

Like @scarlettear I'm totally new - can I still join this swap? I'm a compulsive letter writer and I really sincerely promise that I won't flake.

can there be an exception to the handwriting rule. I would love to do this one but handwriting is difficult for me these days because of disability.

Hi, just wanting to address the 1 rating that I have---it was a postcard swap that got lost in the mail and I'm in contact w/my partner and will be sending soon!

I have the same issue as inkbelcher. Arthritis has made holding a pen problematic. Although I love to write in journals and on paper, I've had to move primarily to keyboard.
