Description:

In this swap, we'll send one handmade postcard to our swap partner! The postcard theme is sender's choice.. use whatever materials you like..a cereal box..pictures cut from a magazine.. Please nothing offensive..or religious... you may take a peek at your partner's profile for ideas..Put some thought into it..so please, keep that in mind when rating! If you receive a handmade postcard, then give your partner a 5. You must have a 4.85 or better rating, NO no-sends in the past 6 months, and at least 5 completed swaps under your belt. Sorry, no newbies this round, although watch for a future newbie swap. Have fun everyone! Also, if they could get damaged in transit, please put them in an envelope. IF you send them naked, please secure any embellishments. If I owe anyone credit for the swap idea, thank you.

Just so everyone knows.. I've never made a handmade postcard before.. so if you haven't either, this is the place to start!

IF YOU RECEIVE a postcard, please rate a 5, even if it doesn't strike your fancy... Thank you!

@shabbypink123 We all had to start somewhere. I've been making them for a long time now and love receiving them. Have fun with making yours and you might just find a new addictive craft. ;)

I really don't want a cereal box or something cut out from a different box if this would be possible. Thank you>

Please remember this is sender's choice. IF you receive a handmade postcard, please rate a 5. If you can't be happy with what you get, please don't join my swap.

I've never made a postcard before but I've always wanted to try. Is there any pointers (or websites) for newbies?

@stupideyed here is a tutorial for sewn post cards if you're interested. http://www.momfetti.com/2009/06/tutorial-fabric-postcards.html

Here are some sites where you can see blank postcard images and perhaps copy them onto cardstock.
