Craft Challenge - June

Are you ready for a challenge? A crafty challenge? Caught in a crafty rut or just want to try something new? Or maybe you just like to make stuff! Well, this swap is for you! Take Christynelson.net’s crafty challenge and have a chance to win a prize!!

So here is the deal. Christy assembles a packet full of crafty supplies every month. She sells them in her Etsy store for $5 (plus $1 shipping). We’ll be working with the June packet. The recipients do not know what is being sent. Your mission is to make something out of what she sends. You have to use everything in the packet. You can use as much or as little of each item as you want. At the end of the month, send a photo of your completed piece to Christy and she will put up a vote on her site. Make sure you vote! Voting is only open for a couple of days. A winner will be announced shortly after. If you have a blog or flickr account, it would be great to post photos of your process up there too.

You will be sending the item you made to your partner. Because this swap is not profile specific and is based on making something with material you might not be familiar with, you will not know what kind of item you will be getting. But because a prize is at stake here, I’m sure everyone will be making the best thing they can and you will be proud to receive it. It’s important to remember to have fun with this challenge!

You must buy your packet from Christy’s Etsy shop by May 27th and you must e-mail me some proof that you bought your packet. The paypal receipt will be sufficient. Failure to do so will result in getting booted out of the swap. I will assign partners on June 1st because of the holiday weekend. To be eligible for voting, you must send your photo of your completed project to Christy by June 24th. You must send your partner the item you made by June 30th.

Please, only rate a 1 if you don’t receive your swap. A 3 if it was late and a 5 as long as it was received in a timely matter after the send date. Please do not flake on this swap as it will not be possible to angel (although I am willing to send something special I made-not from the ChristyNelson.net packet-to anyone that got flaked!)

2. buy your packet from Christy Nelson’s etsy site by May 27th
3. E-mail me proof of purchase by May 31st
4. Wait for your packet and then have fun!
5. Send your photo of the completed project to Christy by June 24th
6. Send your partner your awesome creation by June 30th
7. Vote!
