The Night Court: Balm House ATC

Welcome to Terre d'Ange and to Mont Nuit which beckons you just beyond the revelry of Night's Doorstep to The Court of Night Blooming Flowers. Here let me show you around to the various houses and then you may tell me which suits you best...

This is the second in a series of 13 ATC's. These will be fun swaps and by the end of the series you should have an ATC representing each of the thirteen houses of The Court of Night Blooming Flowers: Alyssum, Balm, Bryony, Camellia, Cereus, Dahlia, Eglantine, Gentian, Heliotrope, Jasmine, Mandrake, Orchis, and Valerian.

The next is Balm House, here patrons come for healing. Whether healing from within or more of a physical nature at Balm house all may come and not be afraid of being judged. Here you will find the acceptance and restoration your soul longs for or the succor and respite your body needs. Your interpretation may be a young girl or boy drawing healing waters from a riverside or someone holding a hand looking at their beloved, it's really up to you. Please make an ATC that represents Balm House and it's healing qualities. You may draw or paint, collage, stamp, whatever your creative self can think of. You may choose to use pressed flowers, or use the house motto "rest and be soothed" on your ATC it really is up to you and anything you can create. Just make it something you would love to have in your collection!

Please note: These ATC's may also have a mature theme depending upon how your partner interprets the house and what they are about. Mandrake and Valerian are most likely to bring out this issue.

Anyone not familiar with Jacqueline Carey's novels may wish to do some research online regarding the Kushiel's Legacy series for inspiration. If anyone would like to start reading the books Kushiel's Dart is the first of the books and it is an amazing story!
