Description:

This series of ATCs are inspired by the book "Wreck this Journal" by Keri Smith. If you've not heard of her, check out her website. I will be getting ideas for the ATC's using her book, her blog and her 100 ideas list. Keri is so darn creative and really has inspired me to think "outside the box". I encourage you to check out her website and do a search on flickr for "wreck this journal" to see what others have created in their journals.

The idea behind this ATC series is to let loose & really put 100% of yourself into the project, get down & dirty.....even if it means that your artwork is not always "pretty" by social standards. Above all, have fun! You will send 2 ATCs (described below) to one partner.

This swap the second installment of ATCs in this series. Each ATC must be the standard size ATC & constructed with a sturdy backing. ---->Also, be sure to notate the swap name & your userid name on the back of the ATC. This will make it easier for your partner to rate you.<----

This Swap: make 2 ATCs for one partner..... •○•make prints using food on your ATC. You can use any type of food (fruit and vegetables cut in half, fish, or anything else...) It might also be cool to use inks, paints, nailpolish, sauces..... to make the print. Just dip the food in paint/ink/whatever and then dab it onto the ATC....•○• be sure to use the entire ATC canvas. You can document what foods you've used on your ATC or just include a little note along with your ATC.

Again, the goal it to let loose and be totally creative, with no boundaries. When rating your partner keep this in mind....if you get 2 ATCs in the mail and you can really tell that the person put time and effort into it you give them a 5 (and a heart if you choose to do so).

Any questions give me a hollar.....

the nitty gritty: this swap will be less than pleasant to angel as it will be an ongoing swap series, so PLEASE do not join unless you are able to meet the guidelines. You must have at least a 4.9 rating with no unexplained 1's or 3's. I know that things happen so if you do have a 1 or 3 just drop me a line about what happened. You must have participated in at least 3 snail mail swaps. If you are a newbie and would like to join, send me a pm and I will look at your profile, etc and make a decision.

EW--I would suggest sealing the finished ATC in a zip-loc bag or two before mailing--it might attract mice or bugs in the post office...LOL

It's sweet cherry season in Michigan, and cherry juice would be great for dripping on an ATC - especially since my youngest son likes his pitted. I could do the pitting right over a piece of paper. not so sure about using a cherry to print with, though. Hmmm...

I think that would count....

and tonight i used a paper towel to remove the skin from beets - lovely red color resulted. Maybe I should use that as a background and stamp something else on it... okay, i'm in!

The only problem with this type of swap is international laws about sending, and quarantine items. Like for Australia, you can't send anything that even has a hint of fruit, nuts, meat, dairy etc...even on paper... [

Did you know french-canadians were the champions of swear words ? No ? There are even lexicons to help people from France to understand us... All this to say I just invented a couple more !!! lolll

Those ATC were the touhest I had to make so far ! I tried so many things ! Some wouldn't dry, other would flake... I just hope the ones I finally made will pass as art... LOLOLOL
