INTERNATIONAL Hello everyone..... This is the same Halloween Tip-In as before, but with a new host. Me! LOL..... DixiWitch asked for someone to take over for her and I was glad to help out. Anyway.... In this swap we will be creating a Tip-In with a Halloween Them. Use a piece of 11 by 8 ½ cardstock. You will FOLD it in half...from top to bottom so that the folded page is now 5 1/2"x 8 1/2". You will then turn the folded cardstock so that (when folded) it is 8 ½ “tall and 5 ½ wide. You will decorate the inside of the folded cardstock (a full page spread) in the Halloween theme. Please do NOT create on the outside (front and back) pages, so that it can be glued into a journal or altered book. You will make 1 tip-in for each of 2 partners. Please decorate only the inside and try not to make it overly bulky. Keep embellishments toward the outside edges so participants can insert their tip-ins to their journals. As the hostess of this swap, I reserve the right to ban anyone who does not fit the following rules: ~~must have a rating of 4.7 or higher ~~must not have more than 1 no send within the past 2 months For those who do not know what a tip-in is: A tip-in is an addition to an altered book or journal. The pages are glued in place in the book or journal and sometimes, pages are removed to make way for the tip-in. Should you need a little guidance or inspiration: http://www.princetonol.com/groups/iad/lessons/middle/ABooks.htm http://www.alteredbookartists.com/abnews/index.html And…….there is a great paragraph midway down the page describing what a Tip-In is, here: http://www.getty.edu/education/teacherartexchange/archive/Nov05/0101.html Please do your best to get your Tip-Ins out on time and please create / send only that which you would love to receive. Above all……….Have Fun! |
