Number of swap partners:3
Description:

Have a friend or relative who could use a little cheering up? Who perhaps loves snail mail but never gets any of the good kind? Well then, this swap is perfect for you!

We will each be assigned three partners, and as such, will end up sending out three flat items total. The twist? You won't be sending to your actual partner, but rather, to the friend or relative that your partner specifies. It will be a day-brightener for a friend! (Well, three daybrighteners for a friend!).

What is sent is your choice. Since it will be a surprise for the friend, a note or card is required. Beyond that, it's up to you. Items I might suggest:
* postcard
* ATC
* deco book
* flat craft supplies, e.g., stickers or embellishments
* recipe cards
* handmade envelopes
* any handmade artwork
* teabags
* etc

When partners are assigned:

  • look up the partners who SEND TO YOU (you will find their information in the "rate your partner" section
  • send each of those three people a wee bit of information to guide them - please include your friend's name & mailing address; hobbies & interests; special occasions or situations in her life these days; any info you think would be helpful
  • EXAMPLE: I might send to my three senders: "Jane Doe (address here) is enjoying retirement, but the last of her kids has just left home to attend college, so she is finding herself a little lonely. She loves a good cup of tea - any kind - and has a fascination with birds. She loves to travel and to hear about other parts of the country/world."
  • as a sender - make sure you get the information from your partner, then send out your three envelopes by the deadline
  • everyone needs to contact their friend a while past the deadline, if you haven't already heard from her, to ensure that she got something
  • the requirement is to send something to the friend - so as long as she receives something, and it was sent on time, that sender deserves a five - sending out more than one thing should really deserve a heart, since that is, by definition, "above & beyond"

So go ahead ... make her day! (or his!)

This swap is open to anyone who has no 1s nor 3s (unexplained) in the last 3 months, including newbies (with a well-filled-out profile!). Don't flake, with 3 partners, you could end up well on your way to suspension from this one swap alone if you do!

Do I sent to three different friends ?? If so, I cant join, postage here is exorbitant :-( And I love to send more than just a PC....

Looks like you send to three different people. Postage everywhere is outragious nowadays...but if you can't afford it, definitely don't join! Seems to me it's only going to cost a stamp which is flat mail, which aint so bad...$1 each if you get international partners. Seems a lot better than $10 for an international package :)

Yep - three envelopes will go out from each of us. I hear you on the postage ... but at least with envelopes you can keep it pretty low. (o:
