There are some awesome craft magazines out there in the world and I would love to receive one from abroad.

You will be required to send 1 craft magazine that you have finished with to your partner. (no pages missing please). Either list below or add to your profile what crafts you are interested in. This will help your partner see if they have anything that will suit your needs. For me scrapbooking, photography, general crafts, but my all time favorite, which I cannot buy here in Ukraine, would be anything Somerset/Stampington for which I would give multiple hearts (if I could). I subscribe to ClothePaperScissors, but any of them pre-2009 would also be cherished. Please no knitting or crocheting. My fingers are too old and stiff for that.

Cute swap!! I am into scrapbooking!! So I have lots of scrapbooking mags to share.

I'd like to receive something in the paper craft range or homemade/crocheting. :)

smilinthyme 08/22/2010 #

Is it ok if the mag is not in English?

sosiejude 08/23/2010 #

Cardmaking ,scrapbooking ,altered art, craft boxes.PLEASE NO Knitting,Sewing.Embroidery mags,or jewelery thanks judex

marliese 08/23/2010 #

@smilinthyme I don't know about you... but I'd prefer a mag I can read and understand. (No pun intended!)

So I'd like to add English, French or Dutch to my preferences. If that's okay with the host :)

bren 08/27/2010 #

How old can the mags be? Do they have to be recent, as in within the last 12 months or can they be something like 5 years old, as long as they are in good condition?

smilinthyme 08/27/2010 #

@marliese I understand that but it is an international swap and in many countries foreign (i.e English-speaking ones in my case) are very much more expensive than native ones. They would also run the risk of being the same ones as an English-speaking recipient could get at home. Hence my question.

marliese 08/29/2010 #

@smilinthyme You have a point there.. I hadn't thought of that. :)

coleenfranks 08/29/2010 #

English for me please and old is OK. Anything to do with vintage era or vintage crafts would be multiple hearts.

Any sewing or jewellery mags would be great, anything except papercrafts/knitting/crotcheting. A Japanese crafts mag would be the best ever, I don't care that I can't read it, I can follow the pics!

I love scrapbooking, photography, papercrafts; I am open to anything new except crotcheting and knitting(sorry)/I've tried that and just can't seem to pick that up to well.

ahuva 09/22/2010 #

I am happy with most crafts and this is in my profile. Although I do not knit or crochet, my mum does so I would give her these magazines. With regards to the written language, English is my preference, but in the case of papercraft or quilting it would not matter. Thanks and looking forward to the swap.

I love scrapbooking \ stamp art \ altered art\ papercrafts \ digital photografy\ home styling -design see i am pretty easy to please LOL

I prefer English ( or Russian )

ohsewaddicted 09/27/2010 #

I prefer magazines that are in English so I can understand the content of the magazine! LOL. I like all types of crafting but I am especially into sewing and quilting. I do not knit or crochet. I tried it and I am not good at it!!! If you have any questions above my likes or dislikes, you could send me a message. I am pretty easy to please!

I embroider like crazy and love the historical stuff. I also do lots of repurposing type crafts, like making furniture out of other things, making lamps, reusing cloth, that kinda thing. I don't scrapbook at all or often make cards. And I am perfectly fine in whatever language you would like to send it in.

leo67 09/28/2010 #

I scrapbook, rubber stamp, make cards and cross stitch. I would like to get into jewelry making. I do not knit or crochet.

Katyushka 09/28/2010 #

I like almost anything......... Adore international craft mags, Japanese, etc. I dont care if it's in English or not...I just like to look at the photos.

I am not so much into traditional quilting (but the quick and simple mags are okay, knitting, or crocheting. I am just not that patient. :)

Hearts! If you have an Adorn Magazine (now out of print.) still kicking myself for not having a subscription.

But any scrapbooking, arty, altered arts, stamping, photography, embroidery, cross stitch, beading, clay, VINTAGE all in one (like from the 70s,80s,90s), Martha Stewart Kids, CraftNThings etc are fair game.

All that being said, Even if it IS a knitting or crochet mag, I can pass them on to my Grandma :) So if that's all you got....it's all good! Email if you get concerned. :) Cheers!
