Description:

So, all of us who are paper people have interesting bits and pieces in our stash and this swap will move them around a little. The idea is to use a number 10 envelope or a greeting card envelope to fit bigger peices and fill it up - about an ounce - so it will only need a single 44¢ stamp. They can be any size - unfolded please - and a variety of patterned/ or pretty papers, just not a envelope full of plain paper, make it a variety :) you may include SOME plain paper but, not all. ... just keep it to a single envelope and a single stamp. minmum size should be 1'x 2....

You should not purchase anything new but try to make it as nice a variety of scraps that you would be happy to receive it.

This will be a US only swap since this is about a cheap quick and dirty single first class stamp swap... and is open to everyone... for new people, I do reserve the right to ban people who have had no-sends or look potentially problematic. please no flakers!

Paper that is not acceptable: wrapping paper, newspaper, paper that is all wrinkled up -- send something people can not only use and would be excited to get but also that are things you would be excited to get.

please NOTE: Please write on the envelope what swap this is. For example: 44¢ stamp swap thanks!**

--> these are the BASIC requirements. please feel free to use more than one stamp, if you want to. you can use any size envelope you wish, but the requirements above are a guideline.PLEASE do, send your partner just a few sheets.. fill it to an oz to make it fair! <---

Pls pm me if anyone would like to do a 1:1 swap with me. I have a wonderful stash of beautifully textured paper left over from lining the bottom of stained glass "memory boxes" which an artist friend of mine makes. Some are smaller pieces, like the size of a greeting card envelope, while a few are quite large, over 8.5" x 11". What I especially like about these papers is that they're like having 2 papers in one. The one side usually has a delightful texture to it and more vivid colors, while the back is smoother with more subdude colors.

The papers look and feel like handmade paper, but I'm not sure if they really are. I currently have shades of pink, purple, blue, and green. There are also some neat, thicker papers, almost like cardboard, that are more heavily textured. They'r white/off-white on one side and metalic on the other, in silver, gold, and a couple of pieces in a copper or bronze color.

I would love to trade some of this paper for...

Origami paper, paper with small kawaii figures on it, scrapbooking paper in shades of purple and pink or deep shades of green, embossed paper, velum, metallic paper, or paper featuring butterflies, cherries, Tweety Bird, dragonflies, cats, ladybugs, flowers, cute animals, Russian stacking dolls, cute japanese figures, tie dye or marblized paper, handmade paper, Halloween themed papers, or paper with interesting textures. And I'm always open to suggestions.

Likewise, I would love some Japanese or Chinese magazines or catalogs. Old or new are fine, as long as they're in good shape and have some interesting images and text in them. They can even be missing some pages or have parts already cut out of them.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sorry it's such a long entry. I look forward to hearing from some of you. International swappers are more than welcomed. :)

Happy swapping and crafting, Karen aka CraftyTweetie

I would love to join in, but would feel safer if you required more like 4.8 or 4.9 rating. Do you think you would consider raising the rating requirement?

I agree with crescendo 4.00 is pretty low, usually aything that low means a number of bad ratings.

Rating changed ;) thanks for the suggestion
