For all you Edward Gorey fans out there!!!! Here's an ATC swap for you!! For this swap, you will have 2 partners and you will make 3 Edward Gorey themed ATCs for both partners, for a total of 6 ATCs. The ATCs can be made with any medium...paint, digital, etc. Make them frame worthy!!! ~lol~ Go for hearts!!! Sorry, no newbies. Must have a rating of 4.7 or higher and no more than 1 no send in the past 2 months. If you do not meet these requirements, you will be banned. Please do not ask to be allowed back in the swap. I will be checking profiles before I assign partners.

You know I love Gorey...and I want to ask the group, are you going to do your own interpretation of Gorey-style, or are you going to actually use Gorey art?

OK...I am not the biggest Martha Stewart fan...but have you seen the Halloween issue of her new book? You start reading through it and halfway through the direction flips -- one half of the magazine is "dark" decorating, one side "light". Some really wonderful, whimsical witches and bats and cats and stuff...also pirates, skulls, mice, haunted houses and gravestones...it's definitely a fun read. But $7.99 US...ouch!

Coffeelatte, I can't stand Martha. But have you seen her stuff at Michael's? OMG her Halloween stuff is awesome!!! Apparently she's having to pay for her jail time because she charges out of the a$$ for the stuff!! ~lol~

Martha gets a big raspberry from me too...but her stuff at Michael's is soo verry niiiice. I ain't buying it though! So, it's okay to use Gorey's illustrations for this ATC, right????

I'm not a big Martha lover, either...but the minute I saw that Halloween magazine I had to buy it. The dark side is really great...

I was just down at my mom's house and got some newspaper clippings about Gorey that I'd stored there when I was younger. I used to travel down to San Jose to visit a great bookstore (Walden Pond in Los Gatos...now closed, sadly...) I bought a lot of Gorey prints and books there. It was fun to go through those clips -- he was a real character! I'll maybe post a few on Flickr...
