Description: | |
This swap is for lovers of old b&w photos. You start with a journal/book of your choosing. You may decorate the covers if you wish. When choosing your book, remember that we will all be paying postage depending on the weight of your book. You may also make a sign-in page at the beginning of your book for other participants to write their names, addresses, websites, etc. This way you can thank them for their hard work when your book comes home. Each page will feature a vintage b&w photograph. Feel free to use originals or very good reprints. You may also use newer photos with a definite vintage feel. Use the page to tell the story behind the photograph. Use words and collage to make the photo come to life. I understand that we do not actually know the reality of the photographs so you will have to break out the imaginations. That is ½ the fun. You may complete one or more pages before sending your own book to the next person. When you send your book on, please include the next photo to be used. This way when the next person receives the book they will create with the photo you supplied. When they are done they will leave a photo for the next person to work with. This way, you will always be creating with at least one surprise photo. If the artist chooses to do more than one layout in a book, SHE will provide the other photographs. To recap…each time you send a book you will have created one or more layouts. You will also include one photo for the next artist to use. The last person will also include an extra photo for the book’s owner to enjoy in whatever way she chooses. Just a note. I may be fairly new to swap-bot, but I will NOT tolerate flakers and unreturned or “lost†books. I guarantee that no honest swappers will ever go away empty handed from my swaps. |
