Description:

Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner I thought that a letter of gratitude would be a good idea. The purpose of the gratitude letter is to think of all the positive things in your life and write down what you are grateful for to share with your swap partner. We all love to hear positive things coming from others and here is your chance to share. No matter how stressed our lives can be at times we have something to be thankful for from our family to the clothes we are able to wear each day. So lets get writing and share our thanks with others.

This swap will be international (postage should be low) even though everyone does not celebrate Thanksgiving, we all have something to be thankful for no matter where we live in this world.

For this swap:

1) Share at least 5 things in your life you are thankful for with your partner (more is always welcomed).

2) Letter must be handwritten.

3) Each letter should be at least 2 pages in length.

Newbies with a well filled out profiles and swappers in good standing (4.9 or higher) are welcome to join. Please do not sign up for this swap if you have had any 1 or unexplained 3's in the past 3 months without contacting myself with explanation. If you can not fully commit to this swap please do not join.

If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me or ask in the comments section below. I will check this page often.

Why is handwritten as requirement? I'd love to play but I don't think I could write 2 pages by hand. Besides, more fits on a page if I type! ;)

Handwritten letters are more personal and I also want everyone to take a moment and really think about the things that they are thankful for. Anyone is more than welcomed to contact their partner and ask if they would be willing to accept a typed letter.

Just my two cents: a letter isn't more personal just because it is handwritten. Important is, that you use your heart and and your brain. The tool you use to write it down (pen or pc) doesn't really matter.....

I apperciate your thoughts @Gusti but I disagree.....If handwritting was not personal then there would not be a need for handwriting analysis (not that this is the basis of the swap because it is not)..... I am just saying. A hand written letter can provide a better picture or the personality of the writer and sometimes can give insight. The way you write is just one of your personality traits and in no way could I ever say that a hand writen letter was not more personal. I do agree that the most important thing is to use your heart and mind to create the letter. As I said before "Anyone is more than welcomed to contact their partner and ask if they would be willing to accept a typed letter."

I agree that handwritten feels more personal - and i feel like it conveys the personality of the sender that much more ! plus i love seeing various inks on various papers. I am far more compelled to answer a handwritten letter than i am an email - but that's just me.
