Description:

Are you new to making cards or never made one before? Then this swap is for you.

If you are like me when you try a new craft you might be a little nervous about sharing your work with more experienced crafters. If you are new to card making and want a chance to try with others at your skill level then this is your chance.

Experienced cards makers are welcomed to join but please understand you are joining a swap with those that may not have the skills in card making as yourself. Please keep that in mind when rating.

Creative inspiration for patterns and designs to make your card can be discovered in the most unusual places and are everywhere, not to mention the web is your oyster for many ideas. After signing up for the swap see what you can find to create the best card you can for your partner.

Details:

  • 1 card for 1 partner.

  • Cards are to be no smaller than 4" x 6"

  • Leave the inside of the card blank so your partner will be able to use.

  • Theme will be Winter or Christmas

  • A handmade envelope is prefered.

  • Check partners profiles or PM them before using religious items in your card creation.

  • This swap will be international due to the low cost of postage.

Newbies are welcomed with a well filled out profile. Other swappers must have a rating of 4.8 and have no recent 1 or 3's within the last 3 months. I will be checking profiles closely because I will be unable to angel this swap due to the busy time of year for me but I am hoping no one will need a angel. Please make sure you can commit fully before signing up.

Most importantly....Have fun and Lets get crafting.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Do the envelopes have to be handmade? I design my cards to fit greeting card envelopes that I buy in bulk at the local drug store. They come in lots of colours and are part of my efforts to use thrifted, recycled or repurposed paper in my work. Thanks!

@Quintessa - I edited the swap to say that they are prefered but you may use one of the envelopes that you already have. I am all for recycling.

Thanks @madtatter I checked out You Tube and you are correct their are some very nice tuts and some would also be easy to scale down to use for making ATC's. Thanks again for the tip.
