Description:

I do this with stickers, so I will try with notecards and see how it goes. I thought this could be really fun. We will have 3 partners. To each we will mail one notecard.................but....the twist is that we are to seal each notecard into the 3 envelopes........before the partners are assigned. We will write the name of the swap in the corner above our addresses on the front of the envelopes, and then on the back of the envelope, we will write our usernames. This will be like a total surprise. It cannot be profile based, since we have no idea who we are sealing them for. The addresses will not be written on the sealed envelopes until partners are assigned. Please keep in mind while rating that people really had no clue if it were your style or type of notecard or not. I think it will be fun to see what we get and we can always reswap. :) Please send nice notecards Any brand, any type, or home made, but only send clean and nice unbent or damaged ones, please. ~Newbies welcome. Flakers are not. I will check and if someone has several very questionable ratings you will probably be banned. ESP IF YOU DO NOT EMAIL ME PRIOR TO ME HAVING PARTNERS ASSIGNED TO EXPLAIN and profiles must be filled out just because it lets me know who is serious! Anyone who does not fill out a profile and will not answer a message is not serious enough for me. The send by date is close to the sign up date, because in all reality, these can and should be ready ahead of partners being assigned. :)

Just to clarify: Do you mean 1 blank notecard + envelope sealed inside the addressed (eventually) envelope? Or do we write to our anonymous partner on it and use the envelope to address it to them (eventually)? Know what I mean?

papercaper 10/12/2010 #

x 3, of course. ;)

P.S. This is very pedantic, I know, but sometimes pedantic swappers will give you a 3 if they're in a bad mood when they rate...! (This does happen, sadly enough.) Where I live, the upper-left hand corner on the front is reserved for the AIR MAIL sticker, and sender's address goes on the back (pref on the flap). I just don't want a partner who finds it maddening that I didn't "follow the rules" properly, so this is, I guess, sort of a disclaimer. :)

@papercaper lol, I like you're style. I have done 2 of the sealed first sticker sheet swaps and I just try to make sure all the info needed is noticeable on the outside and a card inside with the swap name and my name. Seems ok so far...

We put blank inside notecards inside our main envelopes that recipients can use later, but do not know who that is yet. We can put our user cards or notes inside with the swap instead of writing our user name on the back. And we could write the swap name on the back, that might stop any critiqueing (sp?) of us using the corner for something it is not supposed to be used for.

It is my HOPE that people will not give a three over a rule not being followed exactly here. The only main rule is that we do not know who we are choosing our cards for when we seal the envy. I am not going to say the rule of how we verify what the swap is ect anywhere in specific is set in stone. Maybe some would rather write the name of the swap and their user name inside when they seal. Just do not forget what this is for when you get ready to mail it. rotfl

I meant is NOT set in stone.....................we can let people know however we wish, however it works for us.....

can the note cards have the words "thank you" on the front and blankon the outside?

jk1p1k2tog 10/15/2010 #

i mean blank on the inside? it's late and I need to sleep! lol

piglet59645 10/15/2010 #

Do you mean blank inside thankyou notes.? I suppose one could write a note or letter in those too given the right situation. Maybe check with your partner, I personally would use those.

coffeegirl18 10/15/2010 #

What do you mean by notecards?

courtmm11 10/16/2010 #

Well, I am ready to send....and on Sunday it ends, they are ready for dropping in the mail for first thing Monday morning.... How exciting...all this is... Thank you

piglet59645 10/16/2010 #

OK by notecards, I simply mean folded cards with a design on the cover and blank inside so that the recipient can write a note or letter in them.

piglet59645 10/16/2010 #

I think I was tired the other night answering an above question as well, lol, you can't check with your partners on this exchange, because you will not know who your partner is before sealing. I guess you could check after you are sealed and assigned and take the chance you might have to start over if they do not like blank thankyou notes as well as they do notecards. I need to stick with this being for notecards, since that is what the swap states.

coffeegirl18 10/16/2010 #

Ok got it!

papercaper 10/18/2010 #

It's the 19th tomorrow in Australia. When are you going to assign partners?

piglet59645 10/18/2010 #

Just did and it is one hour before the 17th is over here in Montana. :)

papercaper 10/18/2010 #

Thanks!

P.S. You'll be happy with the 18th. The day turns out just fine. ;)

Did I get banned from this swap? Nothing is showing up. I've already put the notecards in the envelopes and I was going to send them out today but I can't find any information?
