Swap categories: Bookmarks  Email
Number of people in swap:11
Location:International
Type:Type 1: Electronic
Last day to signup/drop:November 6, 2010
Date items must be sent by:November 27, 2010
Number of swap partners:11
Description:

Design a digital bookmark that can be emailed and printed out.

Your bookmark design is to be 4x6 inches, so that when printed it can be folded in half to make a bookmark of 2x6 inches.

Senders choice with regard to the design.

Since this is electronic I thought it would be fun to send the bookmarks to everyone. So the number of partners you end up with will be determined by the number of people who join the swap. ( I understand that I can change the number of partners later on.)

EDIT: Format for the bookmark file will be jpg. Resolution of 300 pixels/inch. If this is an issue for anyone, PLEASE contact me and we'll see what can be done.

Picture is an example of a bookmark I designed. It is 4x6 inches.

This is my first time hosting, so I welcome any tips or hints.

Newbies are welcome and encouraged to join.

Hey Jana!!! I joined in! Can't wait to make my bookmark.

I guess I did not realize there would be so many partners when I first joined this swap........ To clarify should I be making one bookmark to send to eleven people, or eleven bookmarks for each partner?

You only design one bookmark. You send the same one to everyone. Is this better?

Augh, I forgot to flip my bookmark before sending, but please don't be confused, it's still supposed to be 2x6 inches after folding.

Miukki - Your bookmark is great. Don't worry about flipping it.

I read a blog post about what is the purpose of telling a brand story?. This information was incredibly useful for my project. I had previously underestimated the importance of emotional connection with the audience, but now I understand that a brand story is not just a story about the company, but a way to establish a deep connection with customers. The article helped me realize that the story must be sincere and reflect the brand's values in order to inspire trust and loyalty.
