My birthday is in January (21st) and I never seem to get any cards! So, now that I"m a member of swap-bot, I thought I'd change this. haha This swap is for anyone with a birthday in the month of January. You will send 1 card to 2 partners. I'm making this International because just a card won't cost too much to send. Any extras are up to you, the requirement is just a card. Doesn't 'have to' be profile based, but send something you'd like to get, ok? Established raters only, please, with a rating of 4.8 or above. And, if you have any 1's or 3's in the last 6 months, please PM me first and explain, ok? PLEASE NOTE the mail by date. In order for cards to get where they are going, we need to send early! My birthday is 15th January, but I cannot join because I am a newbie, but I am 43 years old I I cannot understand why there is a rating requirement for this swap, can anyone explain this to me?

Marianne - There is a rating requirement on this swap because there are a lot of people who join these swaps then don't follow through, and their partners get flaked on. I've spent my summer hosting newbie friendly swaps, and have had problems with no-sends on each of them. I needed a break.
