Disposable camera swap!
Swap Coordinator:Dianna (contact)
Swap categories: Photography
Number of people in swap:27
Location:Other
Type:None
Last day to signup/drop:October 5, 2007
Date items must be sent by:October 20, 2007
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

For this swap, you will purchase a disposable camera (color or b&w, with or without flash, underwater or not, whatever kind you like!) with a reel of around 24 exposures. Then, you will go out into the world and take pictures. Take shots of whatever you like! In past swaps some people have recorded a day in their life or shot with a theme in mind. You have creative license to shoot anything you want!

Then, bundle your filled camera up and mail it to your swap partner. Don't include a description--let it be a surprise. Your partner can get the pictures developed and delight in your creativity!

There's no obligation to share the photos you receive with the person who sent the camera, but in past swaps, some participants had the pictures scanned to CD and posted them to the web. I think it would be fun to share the pictures with everyone in the swap, but it's optional.

This swap is international. You must have a rating of 4.5 or better, with no no-sends. No exceptions! Newbies are welcome if you contact me on Swap Bot before signing up!

Have fun!

Weird. You must have been reading my mind. I was just thinking how cool it would be to have this exact same swap. I can't wait! I hope LOTS of people get in on it.

My husband, a professional photographer, got excited about this swap, so he now has a camera, too. I can angel anyone who does not receive a camera.

KD, thanks!

If you know how to remove the roll of film from the camera and want to send it separately to save on shipping costs, that's okay--as long as it came from a disposable camera. I've never taken one of the cameras apart before - not sure whether it winds into or out of the film cartridge, and there are so many different kinds, so I'm going to send the whole camera just to be on the safe side...

I just got the camera developed that I got from my swap partner - the results are awesome and I wanted to share with everyone:
