Something For My Sibling!

Many swappers, like myself, have a sibling who either lives at their address and can't join Swapbot or perhaps is too busy or lives elsewhere or maybe doesn't even know what Swapbot is! Since I joined Swapbot, my 22-year-old sister's looked gleefully at all the mail I've gotten and while I usually find something for her in the packages I get, be it a neat postcard or a length of ribbon or some candy or coins, I wanted to start a swap for Swappers to swap specifically with another Swapper's sibling.

Anyone with a sibling can join! In the interest of fairness, I am also opening the swap to only children or those who may be distant from their siblings, but who share a sibling-like bond with a cousin or nephew/niece or maybe a neighbor you've grown up with, sharing all the awkwardness, silly fights, inside jokes and knowing nods of a sibling relationship.

RULES

• After joining the swap, write a comment below briefly describing your sibling (example: My sister's name is Holly, she's turning 23 in a week and she's a computer science major who wants to be a computer programmer when she's finished with school.) and then list three to five of their interests (example: Holly likes computers, octopi & squid, robots/sci-fi, and Victoriana.).

• If your sibling has allergies or dislikes, go ahead and list those as well. We don't want to give anyone's brother or sister hives!

• When partners are assigned (1 Swapper per sibling), you will send the sibling a small package, costing no more than $10 before postage, that contains 1 packet of a hot drink mix (coffee, tea, cider, cocoa, chai) and 1 gift that reflects one or more of their interests.

I have set the ratings to allow anyone over a 4.85. No new swappers--I know, I was a newbie just a few months ago, but to avoid disappointing anyone's siblings (how crushing would that be!), I would rather restrict this to established swappers with good swap records. You should have at least 5 successful type-3 swaps under your belt before taking this project on.

There's no need to write any letters or notes to the sibling, but provide your Swapbot ID and name in the package so the Swapper knows how to rate you. Swappers may either rate based on the receipt of the package with the appropriate items in a timely manner, or they can incorporate their sibling's feedback/commentary. A 'thank you' is always polite and appreciated! Let's show those siblings a good swap!
