Welcome to our 2011 Art Swaps. For our first swap of the year, we will swap an original art work that encompasses an animal on it somewhere.

4 x 4 is the minimum size, but you can go bigger if you like. Of course, jewelry has no size requirements. And, we welcome all art mediums.

Have fun!!

Please have a filled out profile, and no recent low ratings. All artwork must be made with quality. Please sign and date your work, if at all possible.

1/5/2010 EdIT: Swap Theme has been changed from animal prints to any Animal on your artwork.

Any animal, meaning it can be domestic OR wild? 4X4 like using card stock or thicker like matt board or chip board? Like a chunky book page? Hand painted, hand drawn, collage, fabric, paper or any other medium? I took this rather open ended, but I assume that this will end up being in a booklet sometime? If so, let me know as perhaps a left margin will need to be reserved by a half inch or so? How so signed? On the back or on the front? If in a booklet, should we just say something on the back about our piece then?

Can it be a simple pencil drawing?

@needlewings Yes, any animal is okay. Wild, domestic, real or imaginary. No, these are not book pages, rather each month you can create a work of art (you choose your medium like painting, sculpture, mixed media, fiber art, jewelry art, art doll, etc...usually based on what you do as an artist.) Our sizes start at 4 inches, so sculptors and doll artists can create also, along with our painters and traditional artists. That size is the minimum size required, though most of us, swap 5 x 7 or 8 x 10 size. Signing and dating usually is on the backside of what you make. Some artists send a COA (Certficate of Authenticity) with their artwork, but sometimes signing is not possible (as in some art jewelry, etc). Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

@latinmermaid Yes, you could do a pencil sketch. Many of the masters, did pencil drawings. Click Here to see some of them.
