This is a study on the book of "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer. Please read chapter 21 ("My behavior may be wrong but it's not my fault." ). Read the scripture below before answering questions:

B. Why does Satan work hard on our minds - building strongholds that will prevent us from facing the truth?

3. Read Numbers 21:5

Have you ever gone around and around the same mountains in your life? What were your excuses?

4. Read Numbers 13:1-3, 25-28

Who plants "ifs" and "buts" in our minds? How should we defeat this tactic?

5. Read Psalm 51:1-6

What does verse 6 mean when it says that God desires truth "in the inner being"?

6. Read 1 John 1:8-10; Romans 3:20-24

A. What must we do to truly repent?

B. Where is our justification found?

C. How are you and I made right with God after sinning?

7. Read John 1:1-5; 8:32

A. What is one of the most powerful weapons against the kingdom of darkness? Why?

B. Jesus said it is truth that sets us free. How is the truth revealed?

8. Read John 16:12,13; Hebrews 13:5

A. Who is "The Spirit of Truth"?

B. What has God promised you to help you hang on to the truth about yourself?

C. What is left for you to do now that you are on your way out of the wildnerness?
