Description:

I love inchies, and I love to sew too, now I would like to make some fabric inchies!

For this swap, you will create 4 inchies for each of 2 partners--8 inchies total. You will use fabric as your base, then hand- or machine-embroider, cross-stitch, fabric paint, or sew to create some wonderful inchies. Since this is fabric-themed, you may also use things like buttons, beads or eyelets. You may also use any kind of fabric: felt, cotton, denim, Aida cloth, etc...You may have to glue or sew it onto a card stock base, or use buckram or stiff interfacing inside of it just make sure they have a sturdy finish.

This swap is open to all group members--no rating requirement.

PLEASE post pictures, I'd love to see these, but can not sew to save my life! :D

@Leeshah ...sure----I can do it tomorrow, since I have some homework to work on tonight....I'll make at least one to post.....You don't have to sew for this one---you can glue the fabric on cardboard inchies or iron it onto some stiff interfacing, then use some fabric paint on them...or cut some felt shapes and glue them to a felt base glued onto cardboard

Well, @Leeshah --I will get that pic up by Sunday---tonight and tomorrow I am really busy, so I can't do it yet.....

Not sure if this is what you mean but here are some fabric ones I made previously for an Inchie Love Group swap ...

Those are delightful! Thanks, @doublesided for posting the photo, and thanks, @pirategrrl775 for continuing to post cool inchie swaps!

you're welcome @marthy ....I really love inchies and I want to collect enough to make a large collage, so what better way to do this than to create my own swaps!

I'm new to the inchie world. All of the inches I've seen are beautiful. I've been sewing all my life & now I sew for fun. Inchies look like so much fun, I'm going to start making some today. I'll see what I can come up with, then I'll be joining swaps. Thanks for letting sign up with your group. Happy Swapping !!! :)

Thanks girls! All I will say is that they took a lot longer than I thought they would, so start sewing now to prevent a rush!
