Vintage Altered Eggs...altered art

OH TYNK-you ROCK girl! I just saw that you were hosting this same swap in one of your other groups (which i don't belong to and did not think i should join since i cannot even sew a button on!) and now here is the same swap---yay!!! These are so pretty and just in time for my fireplace mantel spring decorating! Thanks so much for hosting it for this great group too!

@Bridget you can use the plastic eggs that are intended for easter baskets or you can find styrofoam shaped eggs in the crafty store as well as wooden ones

I personally like the plastic eggs light weight and right now can be found most anywhere....hope that helps

I was wondering the same thing, Bridget! I bet those wooden eggs would work nicely. Plastic eggs never seem to want to work right with me for some reason. I think that Hobby Lobby offers them in a paper mache, too and that would be lightweight.

Yes it is a bit hard to get the glue to stick very well on the plastic..i found if you spray paint them with a matte finish gives you a better base to alter...just a small tip

What would be the best way to ship? Would a bubble envelope work?

i would say bubble envie or a small box since they should be relatively light
