This is a wonderful swap and hopefully the best one ever ;) The task is to send loose tea to two partners.

  • either two whole packages of min. 50g = 0,11 Libra (I hope this is the American and English unit) + four different tea bags

  • or several (min. 4) smaller packages with tasting of different loose tea - in zip zap bag, please!!! So as the person could make at least two cups of tea from each taste. + four different tea bags

I am not setting the amount of money but please, send nice packages with various tea to suprprise and enchant your partner.

Sorry, but no Australians, but I am more than welocme for newbies!

50g is the equivalent of 1.764oz of tea for those who need it broken down in a more common American unit of measure :)

Thanks a lot :D I found libra on the internet and it sounded strange to me ;)

Yay, yay, yay! I hosted a loose teas swap a while ago and it was AMAZING! I can'T wait for this one :)

Ok, I like tea and would like to participate in tea swaps, but...I am so confused. Some say "no loose tea", this one says "loose tea". I buy tea in tea bags. Are those considered "loose tea" when each bag doesn't come individually wrapped?? I've bought Irish tea, Scottish Tea and plain ol' American tea, and the only one that each teabag came in individual envelopes was plain ol' Lipton tea. So, if someone could explain the difference re "loose" tea and "wrapped" tea, I'd be ever so grateful!!! I really wanna swap some tea!

Loose tea is usually bought by weight, @charlottenc instead of the one in tea bags. It's the one used for tea pots or infusers :)

Gasinka 03/26/2011 #

As Sibila says the difference is that you need infuser for loose tea as they are not in any small separate bags to be put into a cup when you buy them.

Hello, i wanted to ask about the requirments for your "loose tea swap'. i get my loose tea at my local health food store i buy my loose tea from them in bulk. They use clear baggies that seal with a sticker.Would that work for the swap?

Gasinka 03/27/2011 #

Hi,

the same works in the Czech Republic that I buy loose tea in small paper bags, so don't worry!

charlottenc 03/28/2011 #

So for this swap you send loose tea, not tea in teabags. Right? I don't know of a single place that sells loose tea here in Greensboro. Some stores carry maybe one brand in a tin... I'm gonna look into it! Maybe the natural foods store, EarthFare or Super G (kind of a global marketplace with foods from all over the world). I'm having fun already LOL and I haven't even joined up yet! :)

Gasinka 03/28/2011 #

Yes, you are partly right. We send loose tea - that's the main thing and 4 different tea bags as well as the second thing :) Try to find some store that sells loose tea (there are plenty of them even in such a small country as Czech Republic is! :D) and join us!

100 g for international mail? Uuuufff...

Gasinka 03/29/2011 #

Salome - where is the problem? I was sending tea bags and 100g chocolate in one bubble envelope and the price wasn't much higher than when I am sending only teabags...

Salome 03/29/2011 #

Wasn't it? I have quite the opposite experience - there is that 100 g limit for cheaper postage by our post... I will wait for smaller one.

Gasinka 03/29/2011 #

You have to make it 99g I suppose ;) But honestly, I haven't paid more than for normal package. But don't worry I am planning to do more swaps!
